I George Mann of the burrough of Launceston in the County of Cornwall Clothier being /I bless God/ in perfect mind and memory do make my last will and testament in manner and form following and first I give and bequeath my soul unto Almighty God that gave it and my body to devout and Christian burial hoping for a joyful resurrection to eternal life through the all sufficient merits and satisfaction of my blessed Saviour Redeemer Jesus Christ to whom with the Father and the Holy Ghost go all possible praise and thanksgiving for ever Amen As to my worldly goods I give and bequeath unto my Niece Grace Mann One thousand pounds to paid her when she arrives at the age of twenty one years or at her day of marriage which shall first happen I give an bequeath to my dear mother all my plate and china and my two best linen beds performed during her natural life and after her decease to my brother during his natural life and after his decease to his son lawfully begotten and if he leaves no son then to my niece his daughter Grace I give to my dear Mother my Garden with the appurtenances belonging thereto adjoining the school house and church yard during her life only I give unto my Cousin John Mann son of my late Uncle Julius Mann One hundred pounds to be paid him in six months after my decease I give unto my cousins Julius and Richd Mann sons of my said uncle Julius twenty pound each and to Joan Willmott and Mary daughters of my said uncle four pounds each to be paid to each and every of them in six months after my decease I give unto my cousin John Couch son of my late aunt Charity fifty pounds and to my cousin Henry Couch Brother of the said John twenty pounds to be paid to each and every of them in six months after my decease I give and bequeath to each and every Daughter of my late Uncle William Evans of the parish of South Petherwin ten pounds to be paid to each and every of them whom they shall respectively arrive to the age of twenty one years I give unto Catherine Harvy daughter of my late Aunt Auderry ten pounds to be paid her when she shall arrive to the age of twenty one years I give unto my cousin Phillip Oke son of my Aunt Margaret twenty pounds to be paid him twelve months after my decease I give and bequeath unto my brother Law Phillip Walsh and to his heirs ten pounds a year in trust only and for his uses following / that is to say/ five pounds a year to be paid to my Aunt Margaret Oke during her natural life for her own proper use and no other use whatsoever fifty shillings a year to my Cousin Walter Searle and fifty shillings a year to be paid to my cousin Jno Searle Son of my late aunt Charity during each of their respective lives and no longer I give unto my said brother Law Phillip Welsh fifty shillings a year during the life of Thomas Gliddon Weaver of Launceston to be paid to the said Thomas Gliddon during his natural life And my will is that the four yearly Legacys before mentioned to be paid by quarterly payments and for the sure payment thereof I do charge and make liable my lands in the parish of St Mary Magdalene otherwise Launceston which I bought of Mr John Battonbury I give unto my said brother law Philip Welsh and to my sister Law his wife Mary Welsh ten guineas each I give to my sister law Lovedy Luxmoore of Oakhampton fifty pounds to be paid in one year after my death. I give unto Mary Cawsy my servant my green bed made of straw sarge with the Bed tye and all other bedding thereto belonging I give unto the said Mary Cawsy if living with me at the time of my death One hundred pounds to be paid her in one year after my death I give unto John Westlake my apprentice twenty pounds to be paid him in one year after my decease I give and bequeath unto Richard Lander of Wadebridge twenty pounds in trust only and for the use of Binah Lander widow of Christopr lander of Bodmin until her son James Lander shall arrive at the age of twenty one years and if the said James Lander /which is my God son/ shall live to the age of twenty one years then my will is that he shall be paid the twenty pounds but if he dies before that age then the said twenty pounds to be paid to the said Dinah Landers as her right and for no other use whatsoever I give devise and bequeath unto my dear and only brother William Mann all my lands in the parish of St Mary Magdalene/ subject to the payment of the above legacies/ and my lands in the Parish of St Thomas during his natural life and after his decease to his son if he should have any lawfully begotten and if he dies and leaves no son then to Daughter Grace Mann and heirs forever All the rest of my lands and tenements Goods and Chattels of what nature kind or quality soever not already disposed of do I give devise and bequeath unto my Brother William Mann whom I make whole and sole executor and residuary Legatee of this my last will and testament In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this fifth day of May 1761
