This is the last Will and Testament of Isaac Kingwell of Ugborough in the county of Devon, Yeoman. I give and devise to my son William Kingwell of the city of Exeter Painter and Glazier all those my tithes issuing from or payable out of three fields called Broadaparks, Fords Field and Bowling Green Field situate in the parish of Ugborough aforesaid. I give and bequeath to my daughter Sarah Scobell Kingwell now residing with me all the furniture, plate, linen, china, glass, books, prints, pictures, wines, liquors, fuel, consumables, provisions and other household effects of which I shall die possessed. But in case my residuary Estate shall be insufficient for the payments of my debts and funeral and testamentary expenses then I divest the said furniture and household effects or so much thereof as may be necessary shall be sold and the proceeds applied towards such payment. I bequeath to my said daughter Sarah the sum of Sixty pounds. And I bequeath to each of my daughters Ellen Matilda wife of William Tapper of the parish of the Holy Trinity in Exeter Accountant and Caroline wife of Thomas Houseman now residing in London as Butler the sum of Forty pounds for their separate use free from the debts or interference of their respective husbands and so that their respective receipt alone shall be good discharges for the same. I bequeath no legacy to my daughter Emily wife of Thomas Cannaford of Devonport, Butcher, nor to the families of my late sons Thomas Kingwell and Richard Webber Kingwell such of my children having already received their portions. I bequeath to my said son William the sum of Fifty pounds due from him on his note of hand with all interest due from him at the time of my death. And I divest the several pecuniary legacies hereinbefore bequeathed shall be payable at the expiration of six calendar months from the time of my decease. I devise all real Estate vested in me upon any trust or by way of mortgage to my son William subject to the equities affecting the same respectively. And I appoint my son William sole Executor of this my will. Lastly I revoke all other wills. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand this 25th day of January one thousand eighth hundred and sixty nine.
