This is the last Will and Testament of me William Kingwell of South Street in the city of Exeter, House Decorator. I bequeath to my son William Francis Kingwell my business as a House Decorator and Painter together with the stock in trade and book debts belonging thereto he paying thereout all my trade liabilities at the time of my death. I devise all my real estate and I bequeath the residue of my personal estate unto my two sons the said William Francis Kingwell and Robert Webber Kingwell and my son in law Augustine Southey Clerk at the Devon and Cornwall Bank at Exeter Upon trust to sell and convert the same into money. And to pay and divide the net proceeds thereof after payment of my debts /other than trade debts/ and funeral and testamentary expenses Unto and equally between all my children except the said William Francis Kingwell as tenants in common namely, Fanny Caroline Kingwell, Ellen Paige Wilton wife of Henry James Wilton of Peckham London, Drapers Assistant Emily Paige Southcott wife of William Southcott of Braintree Essex, Wine and Spirit Merchant, the said Robert Webber Kingwell, Sarah Jane Murray wife of Charles Murray Chief Cashier at Messrs Causton and Sons, Wholesale Stationers London, John Ambrose Kingwell, Emma Paige Southey wife of the said Augustine Southey, Thomas Paige Kingwell, Ada Paige Bullen, wife of Arthur Bullen of Canning Place, Kensington Gate, London, Silk Mercer and Walter Paige Kingwell, and I appoint my said sons Willaim Francis Kingwell and Robert Webber Kingwell and my said son in law Augustine Southey to be Executors of this my Will. Lastly I revoke all other wills. In testament whereof I have hereunto set my hand this Ninth day of March one thousand eight hundred and eighty eight.
