Narrative

In 1866 he was convicted of attempting to ravish a 7 year old girl and sentenced to imprisonment with hard labour for 12 months in Lincoln gaol. Boot and shoe manufacturer in 1871. Shorthand clerk in 1881. Went back to USA in 1886 with wife Florence and children Arthur and Hope. Back in England without his wife in 1891.
