Narrative
Pupil at a private school in Chelsea in 1881. He refused to join the family firm of lawyers and went to South Africa.He fought in the Boer War. He married Ada Therese Spencer in Capetown. Dont know date. They returned to London as his father was dying, but arrived too late. Went to Canada, settled in America then to N. Z. He never settled and left his wife when Dad was 11. Died in N.Z. Ada Spencer was the youngest daughter of Arthur[English] and Sarah [Irish] Spencer. She had 10 brothers and 3 sisters.
