Grocer in Keighley in 1851. Went to Australia and married bigamously in 1855 in Melbourne. I assume this is the same Richard Halstead as both had occupation confectioner, both father James Halstead a stone mason, both born Keighley about the same time. The wife of the Keighley Richard is recorded as a widow in 1861 but there is no record of a death in Keighley. His second marriage record says his mother was Ann.
