Narrative

Imprisoned for one month for larceny twice in 1836. Tailor in 1841. Declared bankrupt about 1847. Tailor employing 1 man in Scotland in 1851. Auctioneer in Dundee in 1853. Silversmith and Jeweler in Scarborough in 1856. Traveller with jewellery in 1861 living in Southampton. They moved to Jersey for a while and then to Falmouth where he had a fancy goods shop and auction shop. The premises in Falmouth was destroyed in a fire in December 1870. The family went to Canada under the name Browning in 1871 with the Emms family but Isaac was not with them. It looks like they lived in the Montreal area for a while but moved to Chicago in the mid to late 1870s. Isaac was living in Chicago under the name Henry Brown when he died in 1897.
